Aluminum profiles have been widely used in building doors, windows, curtain walls and other products for many years due to their small specific gravity, easy processing, and high mechanical strength. Aluminum is a contrasting light metal with a silvery white luster. Its corrosion resistance has the following two characteristics:
The higher the purity, the better the corrosion resistance. The main reason is that pure aluminum reacts with oxygen in the air and produces a thin layer of thin oxide film on the surface of aluminum, which is faster and thicker than other metal oxide films. Prevents further corrosion of harmful gases and moisture in the air, and plays a maintenance role;
Aluminum profiles have high mechanical strength but low corrosion resistance. Although the corrosion resistance of pure aluminum is good, its mechanical strength is poor, which restricts the use of aluminum to a certain extent. For this reason, everyone participates in appropriate aluminum, magnesium, copper, zinc and other metals in aluminum to make various types of aluminum. The alloy greatly improves the mechanical strength of aluminum and greatly expands the range of use, but the corrosion resistance is worse than pure aluminum, so it can be corroded by oxidation. This requires powder coating to maintain aluminum alloy profiles.
In addition to high corrosion resistance, powder coated aluminum profiles also have many advantages such as diversified colors and good appearance. They are compatible with various colors of building exterior wall coatings to get used to different building styles.
